Hey Dan! I was commenting on the fact that Firefox was using Aqua when there was no CSS applied (the same as Safari, and what I'd expect) but when the button had focus it changed to look like it'd come straight from Windows.
I've updated the website so you can now leave comments without a heading; thanks for pointing that out.
blah i have to put something here
In Safari, that's intended behaviour – if an doesn't have any CSS applied it is rendered in Aqua but styling is respected when it exists. Firefox devs probably just copied this behaviour. It's probably just bad CSS – they've styled 'input:focus' and not just plain 'input'.
Also, I didn't fill in a title on this comment the first time around and I got an error and my comment was gone! Boo. Comment titles are silly.
I never used it
not once, didn't even know it existed. I only really use twitter on the web and I sometimes update it from my phone.
I might check it out if/when they bring it back.
Nice redesign!
Rich, the redesign looks great. I'm a big fan. If I had the first clue about design, I would probably make some artistic comment regarding subtle hues and post modern colour tones, but I don't know /anything/ about colour, so I'll just say: nice work.
Done!
Cheers for the tip Sirbastian, done!
Nice
I really like it. It's simple yet stylish (which I think is the key to nice designs)
the only thing I don't like is the red colour of left border. I think changing it to something like CC3D3D would be better. It's only a subtle change but I think it would make all the difference :D
So does the redesign mean hourly updates? lol
I'd Agree
I'd say the same; the concept of microblogging isn't as ground breaking anymore. I think that Twitter's taken the vast market share and it would take them shutting their doors to change that.
Plurk is meh
when compared to Twitter. If it was the only thing around I think it would a lot more popular than it is.
It doesn't really do anything 'wrong' but it doesn't do anything really groundbreaking either.
